My name if Joey Briseno and I’m a Christian artist and media producer from Texas. I have been in digital media and marketing professionally since 2007. I started out in animation and Motion Graphics and later transitioned into editing and film production. I have worked with large scale and boutique level marketing agencies and have worked in all levels of the creative pipeline.

In my earlier years as an artist I would focus on perfectionism, but as I’ve gotten older I have come to embrace the imperfections and character or the pieces I make.

I hope you enjoy viewing my work, and I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ is glorified through everything I do. He is the one who grants me strength, inspiration, and the gifts to serve others.

CAPTURING AUTHENTICITY

I believe as an artist it is my responsibility to tell the truth. I believe that genuine artists create from their heart and from objective truth – anything outside of that is a lie. I work with the intention that my work should be able to stand the test of time. Due to the profound weight of responsibility for what I put into the work, and due to the craftsmanship I put into my labor, I will only take on projects that resonate with me and that don’t violate objective truth. Not everything has to be that serious but I take all my projects seriously and do my best to complete them within the restrictions set forth.

While I do shoot the Sony A series, my favorite type of cameras are Fuji. For me, Fuji gives me the right character and latitude I want from a digital image. In the next year I hope to print a photobook and work with a magazine to create a classical photo essay.
